Melinda Stanley, Illustration | Halifax, NS Melinda Stanley's illustration work can be described as silly, quirky, funny and a little bit off-the wall.

Drawing since before birth, Melinda--more than anything--loves creating something out of nothing; plucking an idea from her brain and building it from the ground up, making the idea visual for others to see.

Her mother will be the first to tell you that when Melinda was born, she was different. Whether it was building catapults in the backyard or painting giant murals in her bedroom,forex trading app she was a busy and very curious child.

In 2002, Melinda left her home in Charlottetown, PEI, to study photography at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) in Fredericton, NB. It was there that she found herself more curious than ever. She explored new ideas and techniques, and in her final year, Melinda created a body of work that infused both photography and illustration. This work proved hugely popular, and was featured in Photolife magazine and the local media.

After graduating in 2005 with a Diploma in Fine Craft with a major in photography, Melinda felt that something was missing. So, in September 2006 she returned to NBCCD for further study in Graphic Design and Illustration.

Today, Melinda Stanley worksfreelancing in Graphic Design and Illustration. She lives in Halifax, NS with her musical husband, their imaginary cat, Peaches, and a rapidly growing coffee can collection. Why the coffee can collection, you ask? She prefers to keep that information under wraps for the time being.
